Easiest Hard Drive to Install
This thing is great!! Due to the 137GB thing on WIN XP I opted for this 120GB drive. Pulled out the old one. Plugged this one in. Started computer–BIOS recognized the drive at full capacity– Did not need the Western Digital install program because the drive is less than 137GB– no problem at all–I did a clean install from my Win XP SP2 disc- Done!!
Great price and drive is very fast and quiet.I am going to buy another just to have on hand! 120GB is big enuff for me!!

Happy with new HD
I replaced my original 30G HD in a Dell Dimension 4100 without any trouble. The WD HD is working fine and the computer is slightly faster and more stable. By staying under 135G I did not have to upgrade the BIOS.
My only disappointment is the HD did not come with any mounting hardware, software or instructions. Turns out I did not need the hardware and was able to get the software and instructions from WD’s website.

Great HD, works fine, installed on Dell Dimension 2400 over a month and no problems. Recommended!
