Useful for going from SATA to eSATA
This is very useful if you machine does not have an e-sata port but where the machine has a regular sata port. SATA is much faster then USB 2.0 or Firewire 800. It provides a work-around where you do not have USB or Firewire capabilities, as is the case, with some security configurations.

Worth It
At fair prices. Prompt Shipping. Cable is long enough to see a larger flexibility in the placement of the hard drive I bought for them. The cable is a bit stiff - probably due to the additional shielding for external use. Also deters crimping. Plug seat quite comfortable at both ends. This is a great way, instead of the USB cable for external drives. Read write rivals an internal drive and much much much faster than USB externals. This is the way to go!
