Works well, save money on wet saw.
This item works as advertised and saved me a ton on having to buy a wet saw. In addition to the MD 17″ tile cutter, I avoided a wet saw purchase, saving me $500+. The only draw back is chipping on the top surface of the tile. But most cuts are hidden by trim or cabinets etc so not a big deal. I was able to cut a 3″x3″ square section out of the dead smack middle of a tile for an electrical outlet with ease. Item comes with 3 inserts for different arbors, a good addition.

Good blade at a great price
I’ve been using a turbo blade to augment my wet saw, but I needed something that cut a bit smoother. This blade delivers…but don’t expect it to cut as smooth as a wet saw. Some chipping is inevitable when you dry cut freehand w/ a hand held grinder. While not as agressive as a turbo, it cuts significantly smoother. Very handy when you have visible notch-type cuts like around door jambs. Wouldn’t even try to do this with a turbo blade.
It has already saved me considerable time and energy (two very limited resources at my age!). While tiling an upstairs bathroom, this blade allowed be to make these cuts on-site (with a vac of course), and eliminate walking down 14 stairs, through the living room, outside to my wet saw in the back yard, and back up again (being ultra careful not to mess their beige carpet). Of course, those cuts always seem to be a bit too small, so you get to do that dance all over again! I haven’t retired my turbo blade. I still use it for circular cuts (e.g., toilet flange cut-outs) as the aggressive rim seems to handle arcs better. They’re also great for cut-outs in CBU (wear a mask!).
I’ve been very satisfied with my Bosch turbo blades (and my Bosch grinder), so naturally I wanted to get a Bosch continuous rim (why mess with the formula, right?). However, my local Big Orange Box store carried the Bosch Premium Plus continuous rim only in 4″ (the grinders they sell are 4.5″…Hello?). Their price w/ tax for their 4″ blade is over $32! $32!!
Amazon continually delivers. This 4.5″ blade with Super Saver Shipping is a genuine steal compared to Big Orange. While I don’t normally do reviews (this is only my 2nd one), Amazon has been so awesome that I felt a need to share my experience.
I hope this review was helpful. Aloha!

Cuts easily
Used this to cut Hardiebacker for a bathroom remodel; It cut well, and I have no complaints. Will be trying it later on Granite.
